UNICEF Cholera factsheet
This set of factsheets for the twelve countries in West Africa will provide decision-makers with adequate information to implement efficient cholera prevention and control activities. Using an identical and reproducible methodology across countries, it offers a comprehensive and factual description of cholera epidemiology, with an outline of livelihood groups and practices at risk ensuring a better targeting of interventions. For each country, an identification and classification of cholera hot spot areas and strategic interventions to be considered are presented.
These factsheets were produced by a multidisciplinary team with WASH and Health competences intended to provide users and stakeholders of both sectors with the most comprehensive information for evidence-based intervention and advocacy purposes.
